They are called leaders. Damn!!!

Well, all these things i'm gonna scribble down was an after thought of some recent happenings in Mumabi. There seems to be a political party, who believe they are the good shepherds of the country. I still don't get the point of these guys. These thoughts started specially after the "slapping" stuff happened with the so called leaders of the same party, i was wondering what they really need. No wonder that i didn't understand their intention at all. Are they really aiming to make Mumbai a better place or bitter place? Wow! I rhyme:) Sheesh, how rhyming came in between! Leave it, i'll come to point.

Some days later there was a news that they are trying to cover up all the posters of Kurban with Saries, just because the poster contains an image of Kareena dares her bare back. These guys are sick. If they were really behind making Mumbai a better place, i thought that they could've given those saries to those who live in hell like conditions in the slums and freeze to death in the rainy season just because they don't have enough clothing. In fact they are behind an actress, who really doesn't have any kind of shame showing her body to the world(No offence meant the actress or to her work). And read that they were behing some another recent movies in which "Mumbai" is called as "Bombay".

Then came another mews. On Saturday(14.11.09), a group of MNS activists led by MLA Bala Nandgaonkar submitted a letter to the SBI recruitment cell in the city, urging it to give preference to locals as per the instruction of their chief Raj Thackeray. They argued that if there was a state quota of 1,100 vacancies, all of it should be allotted to locals. This is not the first time that the MNS has objected to outsiders sitting for Central recruitment examinations in Maharashtra. On October 19, 2008, the MNS went on the rampage disrupting the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) exams that were held in Mumbai and its satellite cities. They attacked candidates from UP and Bihar who had come to Mumbai, Thane and Kalyan. They dragged candidates out of the hall and assaulted them. In the attacks, more than 20 people were seriously injured and thousands of scared candidates fled Mumbai and other cities. Several MNS activists were detained or arrested, and booked for assault, rioting and damaging public property worth lakhs of rupees. MNS chief Raj Thackeray was also arrested the same month for his anti-north Indian tirade and for inciting violence. But as always the big leaders come out of Jail pretty soon so that they can continue the ruining activities.

It's not only in Mumbai, it's there all over India. But the recent activities were in Mumbai. When all these so called leaders get matured? No idea. Or am i the one who is looking into all of these in an immatured way?

Some random thoughts in a silent day...

Well, I used to get a throat infection once in a while which leads to a voice less period for me. It'll last for 1 to 2 days depending on how seriously i take that, and how much rest i give to my vocal codes. I got hit with it from yesterday onwards and today i was in a condition that i can't utter even a single word. Slowly my thoughts turned to those poeple, who really can't talk. Whenever i get stuck with this problem, my thoughts used to get drifted to them, but this time the thoughts went on to a level that now i think i admire those persons. There are so many out there in this worls without our natural ability to talk, hear or see... It's so sad in this so called communication era huh? I guess this is the time when we really have to thank God for keeping us well and fit. But funny that we complain that we aren't any better than others, or jealous for the abilities others have, like he/she dances better, sings better, looks better bla bla bla... Now i really think that i've to think so many times before i complain on anything i don't have, cause i'm blessed with so many things, others don't have... Just thought of sharing with you guys...

Proud to be a part of some good stuff...

This diwali....

1000 kids (mulund, mumbai) pledged not to burst crackers.
Students in Nagaon, India, said "No" to crackers.
Hundreds of tiny tots (Siliguri) staged a march to spread awareness against crackers ahead of Diwali festival.
Bihar government had banned bursting of crackers after 10pm on Diwali, in Patna district.
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit urged the people to avoid crackers during Diwali so as to curb pollution.
Then there were eco friendly crackers - cheap, safe and non polluting.

Nice to know that i was a part of this big movement. Big thanks to Sparkle_7 for letting me know the above said facts...

Some Diwali thoughts (Or issues?)...

The time of crackers are up again. As always very few are worrying about the harm we do to our environment. The noise, the smoke, the celebration time is really troubling our mother earth. The land contamination due to burned gun powder, cracker rolls, waste papers etc etc are again another worries. It is the popular belief that the fireworks that add splendor to Diwali actually burns the evil to ashes. But the Evil is growing strong in the other side by polluting all of our living space. Now a days everyone is talking about being "Green" and it seems the efforts taken to minimize the effects from fire crackers are comparitively very small. I always believed, considering all myths, that Diwali is about spreading light in the darkness of the world. and what we do now is really making a huge dark shade above us and one day it's gonna prevent us from getting light. When i had a small chat with some of my colleagues about avoiding crackers, some intersting questions came up.

1. What's Diwali without crackers?

2. What will be done to protect the employees in the fire cracker buisiness if we are banning the crackers?

3. Is that a big deal in this already polluted world?

4. What if we alone protest?

5. If it's so wrong, then why all others are doing it?

I don't know how many of these questions can be properly answerd by me, but all i know is that i'm gonna avoid all the fire crackers, try to get as many friends to join me in the cracker less celebration and pray for an injury free, accident free and pollution free diwali. Wiah you all a very very happy and safe Diwali...
